The Park Committee will hold a public hearing on the future of Exeter Park on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 5:30PM at the Exeter Town Hall. At the 1/3/2022 meeting, the Park Committee voted to move forward in engaging the Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (“SWWRPC”) team to begin developing a plan for the park and to assist with submission of a 2023 grant application. One of the key steps in development of the plan is to host a public input meeting. At this meeting, we will discuss various options for the park for improvements, maintenance and enhancements that may be eligible for grant funding in the next 5-10 years. Input from the committee as well as town residents is considered an important part of plan development. The window for grant application is very tight. Applications are due by May 1 with disbursement expected in late summer for approved grants. If we are not able to make this window, we will need to wait for additional grant funding availability in 2024.

The Park Committee as well as members of the Town Board would like to hear from the residents of Exeter about the future of our beautiful park. Please plan on attending with ideas on how to improve our park.
